It involves direct, often preventable, and indirect, often underreported causes. In low- and middle-income countries, such as Brazil, the problem persists as a structural and public health challenge, requiring continued attention. Objective: To analyze the distribution and evolution of maternal mortality from direct and indirect causes in Brazil's macroregions (2020-2024) and to discuss the areas of action of the RC and PNAISM. Methods: Quantitative research of secondary data. Data were obtained from the Maternal Mortality Monitoring Panel. Deaths from direct and indirect causes, aged 10 to 49 years, were selected. Statistical analyses were performed in Microsoft Excel® and scripts via Google Colab®, using one-way ANOVA, Tukey's test (HSD), and Poisson regression. Results: The analysis of maternal mortality due to direct causes revealed significant differences between regions (F = 93.96; p < 0.001). The Northeast and Southeast had higher mean rates than the Central-West, North, and South (p < 0.0001). Poisson regression indicated temporal stability (β = -0.0003) and a three-fold higher risk in the Northeast (3.30) and Southeast (3.13) compared to the Central-West. For indirect causes, ANOVA did not detect significant regional differences (F = 1.79; p = 0.17), but the regression showed higher relative rates in the Southeast (3.55) and Northeast (2.59), in addition to a 30% annual reduction in indirect mortality (relative rate = 0.70). Conclusion: Maternal mortality in Brazil reveals significant regional disparities, especially in direct causes, highlighting the urgency of public policies aimed at ensuring safe and equitable maternal care.
2025-09-05T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2439An epidemiological analysis of hospital admissions for inguinal hernia in the brazilian state Maranhão from 2015 to 20242025-09-08T05:18:32+02:00Samuel Victor Soares de Carvalhosamuelvictot.c@gmail.comOsean Maximilyan Câmara Pereiramarcello.freitas@discente.ufma.brMarcello de Freitas Costa Rodrigues Filhoosean.maximilyan@discente.ufma.brOtto Mauro dos Santos Rosaotto.rosa@ufma.brAnne Karine Martins Assunção da Silvaanne.karine@ufma.br
Introduction: Inguinal hernia (IH) is a process of displacement of the abdominal wall, through dysfunctional muscle tone, which allows organs to move from the abdominal space and protrude into the inguinal region. The diagnosis of this pathology and its symptoms may manifest late, as a bulge in the inguinal region and associated pain, which contribute to a better diagnosis of the patient and treatment by surgery and medication. Methodology: This is a retrospective study with a descriptive and quantitative approach to data on hospitalizations for inguinal hernia, in which data were collected from the Hospital Information System of the Unified Health System (SIH/SUS), made available by the platform of the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), between 2015 and 2024. The variables analyzed were: cases per health region (CIR), hospitalizations per year, age group, gender, color/race, annual expenditure, type of care, and days of hospitalization. Results: During the period, in Maranhão, 59,619 hospitalizations due to HI were recorded, with a total expenditure of n=R$35,056,212.24 between 2015-2024, with 2023 and 2024 being the years with the highest number of hospitalizations, totaling 15,528 (25.6%). In the state, the age group between 60 and 69 years predominated, with 9,692 notifications (16.25% in the period). The mixed-race group was the most notable, with 36,651 hospitalizations confirmed (61.47%). In addition, males were the most affected in the state, accounting for 78.64% of hospitalizations. Elective cases also predominated, accounting for 62% of hospitalizations during the period, with an average stay of 2.2 days in a hospital setting. Although recent years have brought significant progress and achievements, the path for women to assume management positions in organizations remains highly challenging. Aiming to map the existing studies on female leadership in public organizations between 2019 and 2024, a systematic literature mapping was conducted. The results highlight seven main themes addressed in the analyzed articles, including challenges in leadership roles, barriers to career development for women, and gender inequality. Public universities are among the most frequently studied research settings, and there are notable gaps regarding methodological approaches and the depth of thematic analysis. Overall, most studies focused on identifying the challenges women face in reaching leadership positions. Although there has been significant growth in the inclusion of women in strategic roles, persistent barriers continue to hinder both access to and permanence in decision-making positions. Phenomena such as the glass ceiling, the leadership labyrinth, and the queen bee syndrome illustrate the complexity of the obstacles encountered. Nevertheless, the findings underscore the need for further studies addressing other important aspects of the topic, such as empirical analyses of the impact of gender equity policies, evaluations of successful career advancement strategies, and insights into the learning processes of women leaders, among others.
2025-09-04T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2435Comics as an assessment tool in Biology teaching2025-09-07T02:10:17+02:00Lucas de Oliveira Limalucasoliveira0303@gmail.com
This article presents an assessment proposal using comic book production in Biology teaching, applied to high school students. The proposal is to mediate and foster the spontaneous flow of collectivity, moving away from predetermined and restrictive views of art. This work analyzes the "Cirandar" project, developed in a school, which aimed to invite a group of children to engage in perception, observation, and a sense of collectivity through music and movement, contributing to their holistic development. The study is an analytical experience report, aligned with the perspective of meanings and qualitative epistemology. It recognizes lived experience as a legitimate form of knowledge production, valuing the researcher's involvement and the ethical dimension of practice. The "Cirandar" project, involving over one hundred children in circular dance activities and circle songs, demonstrated improved synchronicity, the formation of a collective concept, and strengthened bonds. There was also an expansion of cultural repertoire, improved concentration, and increased engagement from the entire school community. Artistic activities promote the development of individual and collective consciousness, non-verbal expression of corporeality, cultural and sensory broadening, fostering autonomy and affectivity, and enhancing concentration. Art mobilizes higher psychological functions and reconfigures the subject-world relationship, promoting humanization. By integrating music and dance, art education transcends disciplinary fragmentation, activating senses, imagination, and subjective expression. It asserts itself as a powerful field for shaping sensitive, creative, and critical individuals, driving more humane and meaningful educational experiences.
2025-07-19T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2310Fake news and the maintenance of the political public sphere: Disinformation as a Threat to Human Rights and Democracy2025-07-07T23:12:19+02:00Rhanna Corina Monteiro Cavalcantirhannamonteiro@gmail.comMaria Eduarda de Oliveira Nery meoliveira.adv@gmail.comAna Maria de Barrosana.mariab@ufpe.br
The spread of fake news is not a modern phenomenon, although the term “fake news” has recently gained notoriety. History shows that the manipulation of information has always been a tool of domination, used to distort reality and seize power. From a philosophical perspective, politics arises from the creation of a public space for debate, where free individuals engage in dialogue and make collective decisions, as opposed to the isolation of private life. Hannah Arendt was instrumental in investigating how totalitarian regimes sought to undermine this public space in order to exercise control. With technological advances, attacks on the public space have become more modern. Currently, the dissemination of fake news in the virtual environment occurs rapidly and without prior control, fragmenting the space for dialogue and replacing it with extremism, isolation, and hate speech. Given this, this work starts from the following question: how does the dissemination of fake news contribute to eroding the public political space? A qualitative approach is adopted, using exploratory procedures and bibliographic methods, based on articles and academic texts on political freedom in Arendt, seeking to understand how her theory helps explain the phenomenon of fake news. The objective is to use Arendtian thought as a theoretical lens to analyze this contemporary dynamic. After discussing the impact of fake news on the public sphere, the work revisits its historical use as a constant threat to democracy, highlighting the need for regulation. It concludes that the preservation of the public sphere requires not only legal measures against disinformation, but above all, citizen awareness of the political role of information and an ethical commitment to the truth.

2025-07-11T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2053Unraveling the layers of mass incarceration in Brazil: an intersectional perspective of gender and race on structural racism2025-05-04T10:20:41+02:00Ana Paula Alves Pires da Silvaanapires.paulaalves27@gmail.com
The present research centers on structural racism and the intersectionality of gender and race within the context of mass incarceration in Brazil. Its general objective is to analyze structural racism and the intersectionality of gender and race as factors contributing to the increase in female incarceration in Brazil. The specific objectives are: to conceptualize structural racism and the intersectionality of gender and race, as well as to situate them within the Brazilian historical context; to study incarceration rates among white and black women, and between these women and men, based on official data, literature, and pertinent legislation; and to verify structural racism and the intersectionality of gender and race as factors for the increase in female incarceration in Brazil. This is explanatory research with a mixed-methods approach, employing a deductive research method. The technical procedures used include bibliographic research—books, official data, scientific articles, and relevant legislation. The central issue highlighted is: can it be affirmed that structural racism and the intersectionality of gender and race are factors contributing to the increase in female incarceration in Brazil? Therefore, this research is divided into three parts. Firstly, the historical concept of structural racism and the intersectionality of gender and race will be studied. Subsequently, based on official data, literature, and pertinent legislation, the rates of female incarceration in Brazil will be examined, as well as their relationship with structural racism. Finally, the consequences of structural racism and the intersectionality of gender and race in the current Brazilian prison reality will be discussed. In conclusion, this research reveals the profound interconnection between race, gender, and the prison system, highlighting how these dynamics shape carceral practices and perpetuate systemic inequalities. By analyzing specific data from Brazil, it becomes evident that black women are disproportionately affected by incarceration, reflecting a deeply rooted pattern of racial and gender discrimination.
2025-08-18T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2388Breastfeeding: maternal self-efficacy in preterm infants in a kangaroo care unit2025-08-22T20:46:27+02:00Vitória Karoline Maciel Jacaúnajacaunavitoria@gmail.comThayná Ferreira Albuquerque Gomesthaynaferreira2@gmail.comLucas Pereira da Costalucalmcosta@gmail.comRenata Ferreira dos Santosrfdsantos@uea.edu.br
Objective: To estimate and analyze maternal self-efficacy in the process of breastfeeding preterm newborns in a kangaroo care unit. Methods: A descriptive, quantitative study carried out in a public maternity hospital in Manaus, with 37 puerperal women. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an extension activity focused on the prevention of zoonoses among middle school students at Escola Municipal João Ferreira Matos, in Jaguarari-BA, Brazil. The methodology consisted of two stages: a theoretical explanation about four zoonoses (rabies, leptospirosis, toxoplasmosis, and spotted fever), followed by playful activities using educational games ("Zoonosis Trail," "Rabies Domino," and "Zoonosis Board Game"). The results showed a high level of student participation and good assimilation of the topics covered. The use of playful methods favored meaningful learning, aroused students' interest, and encouraged the collective construction of knowledge. The discussion suggests that using games as a pedagogical tool not only facilitates the teaching-learning process but also promotes student protagonism and the sharing of information with the community. This study analyzed the dynamics of the basin's vegetation cover between the years 1985 and 2025, using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), derived from satellite images. The hypothetical results indicated a general trend of reduction in average NDVI values over the decades, with emphasis on the expansion of exposed soil areas and the fragmentation of denser vegetation formations. Initially, in 1985, more robust Caatinga formations predominated, with NDVI values indicating dense vegetation. However, from 2005 onwards, and more accentuated after 2015, a progressive degradation of vegetation cover is observed. The analysis of the maps showed that the areas with the greatest vegetation loss would be concentrated in the portions of the basin with greater agricultural activity and close to urban settlements, indicating the direct influence of human activities. The decrease in NDVI reflects the substitution of shrub-tree formations by low-lying vegetation or exposed soil, evidencing the impact of unsustainable agricultural activities and the basin's vulnerability to adverse climatic conditions. NDVI, in this context, proved to be an essential tool for monitoring environmental degradation, allowing for the identification of critical areas and the understanding of spatial and temporal patterns of vegetation cover loss.
2025-08-18T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2346Swine atrophic rhinitis and its economic impact: a review2025-08-04T20:23:17+02:00Laysa Vallerlayvaller@hotmail.comVinicius Andrade Migloriniviniciusmiglorini.0807@gmail.comAnna Laura Salvattiannalaurasalvatti@gmail.comNeide Maria Griebelerneide.griebeler@udc.edu.br
Atrophic rhinitis in swine is a respiratory disease that affects pigs raised in intensive farming systems. Direct contact between animals, combined with unfavorable environmental factors, facilitates the spread of the disease. This study aims to present the main aspects related to atrophic rhinitis, including its causative agents, clinical signs, diagnostic methods, prevention and treatment strategies, as well as its economic impact on swine production. It is a multifactorial disease, caused by the combined action of Bordetella and Pasteurella multocida bacteria, which lead to inflammation, destruction of nasal tissues, and facial deformities. Symptoms appear early and impair the animals’ development, directly affecting their productive performance. Diagnosis involves clinical observation and laboratory tests. Prevention includes vaccinating breeding females and improving management and biosecurity practices. Treatment requires the use of specific antibiotics, with protocols adjusted to the severity of each case. However, people with diabetes mellitus, that is, those with any degree of glucose intolerance, which may or may not persist after birth, may face difficulties in breastfeeding. This proposal was conceived due to the perception of the difficulty of diabetic pregnant women in maintaining breastfeeding for the time necessary for each child, which involves introducing complementary foods to the newborn's diet and early withdrawal of breastfeeding before six months of life. Thus, this study aimed to develop an educational brochure on prenatal care for people with gestational diabetes mellitus. This is a methodological study with a proposal for educational technology. The development of the technology followed the following steps: free translation of the technique, development of content and layout of the material. For the information, a standard script was followed on the construction of educational health materials, organized into three domains: objectives, structure/presentation and relevance. The folder has the dimensions of A4 paper, folds into three parts, front and back, in landscape orientation. In addition, the content was discussed based on national and international scientific productions related to the prenatal ordering technique. This research does not require ethical procedures, as it corresponds to the construction of a health care technology, although it intends to proceed with formal copyright registrations. The Canva® platform allowed the creation of the product with texts related to the concept and definition, indication, ordering techniques, care for the requested milk, and strategies for offering milk. The colors in shades of pink, blue and gold are linked to femininity, motherhood and breastfeeding. In addition to tranquility and clarity, they bring the necessary attention to the information, attracting the reader's curiosity. The chosen font was chosen as simple and clear, bringing seriousness and sensitivity with a refined and efficient design. The folder was discussed based on the literature, in order to deepen the basic information contained in the final product. It is concluded that the product allowed for the sharing of knowledge, faithful to the protocol, incorporating actions and strategies that can guarantee adequate basic knowledge for diabetic pregnant women, strengthening the search for more in-depth information that promotes adherence to breastfeeding.
Keywords: Breastfeeding; Milk extraction; Mothers; Gestational diabetes
2025-08-25T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2300The Impacts of Employee Turnover on Workers' Health in the United States of America2025-07-02T18:18:07+02:00Fabiana Souza Silvaadv.fabianasouza@gmail.comGeorge Harrison Ferreira de Carvalhogeorgeharrisonfc@gmail.com
This narrative review aimed to assess the impacts of employee turnover on the health of workers in the United States. High turnover rates have become increasingly frequent, especially in post-pandemic and economically unstable environments, bringing adverse effects not only to organizational productivity but also to the physical and mental health of remaining employees. The methodology included a qualitative review of scientific articles, dissertations, and theses from platforms such as Scielo, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The main findings reveal that employee turnover contributes to increased stress, anxiety, burnout, and even physical conditions such as heart disease and musculoskeletal problems. Older employees and those in insecure jobs are particularly vulnerable. Turnover also disrupts work-life balance and team dynamics, increasing the likelihood of dissatisfaction and surge the agitations. Financially, high turnover generates direct and indirect costs related to hiring, training, and productivity losses. The conclusion emphasizes that managing turnover effectively is vital to preserving not only organizational health but also individual well-being. Strategies such as individualized HR practices, mental health promotion, and predictive analytics are suggested. Ultimately, turnover affects not just the departing employees but significantly burdens those who stay behind. Further research is recommended to explore organizational-level solutions to mitigate the health impacts of high turnover.
2025-07-02T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2407Between the Unconscious and Institutional Protocols: A Case Study on the Challenges of Psychoanalytic Practice in a University Psychology Training Clinic2025-08-27T16:08:48+02:00Francelino Eleutério da Silva Júniorjuniorporto22@gmail.comMurylo Gabriel Ferreira Barretomurylopsi@gmail.comAdegilson Carvalho de Sousaadegilsoncarvalho16@gmail.comJoelly Rodrigues de Oliveirajoelly.ro@gmail.comMaria Leynarah Sousa Pazpazleynarah4@gmail.comAna Ruth de Sousa Santospsianaruth@gmail.comJamile Veras de Sousajamileveras.ps@gmail.comMariana Martins Rochamarianamartinsrocha5@gmail.comFabiana Cruz Soaresfabicruzpsi@gmail.com
This study examines the challenges of psychoanalytic practice within a university psychology training clinic, focusing on the tensions between the ethics of the unconscious and institutional protocols. The results highlight central conflicts, such as the requirement to produce detailed summaries of clinical sessions—which opposes Freud’s recommendation of “evenly suspended attention”—and the imposition of a fixed 50-minute session length, which contrasts with the “logical time” of the unconscious proposed by Lacan. The study also points to difficulties in managing transference with the clinic’s coordination, which at times interfered with case conduction. It concludes that, although undergraduate psychology programs aim to train psychologists rather than psychoanalysts, the practicum—structured around the tripod of personal analysis, supervision, and theoretical study—functions as a device of introduction to analytic formation, subverting institutional logic in order to transmit the ethics of psychoanalysis. The presence of psychoanalysis in such spaces is defended as a continuation of Freud’s desire to provide a public and accessible clinic.
2025-08-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2363Epidemiological profile of leprosy in children under fifteen years of age from 2015 to 2024 in the capital of Alagoas 2025-08-13T01:39:42+02:00Alessandra de Almeida Silva Figueredoalefigueredo.enfa@gmail.comViviane Silva Palmeira Soaresemail@gmail.comMaísa Isabela Faustino Santosmaisaisabella@hotmail.comLetícia Espírito Santo Cavalcante de Souza Juvinoleticia2016cavalcante@gmail.comKátia Floripes Bezerrakatiafloripes@gmail.comClodis Maria Tavaresclodistavares@yahoo.com
Introduction: Leprosy is a chronic, neglected, and notifiable infectious disease that still presents active transmission in several regions of Brazil, especially in contexts of social vulnerability. Its occurrence in children under 15 years of age indicates failures in the control of the transmission chain and demands specific attention. Objective: To analyze the epidemiological profile of leprosy cases in children under 15 years of age in the city of Maceió, Alagoas, from 2015 to 2024. Methodology: This was a cross-sectional, retrospective study with a quantitative approach, using data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), obtained through DATASUS. The variables analyzed included age group, sex, race, education level, clinical presentation, mode of admission, and mode of discharge of cases. Results: A total of 46 reported cases were identified, with a predominance of patients aged 10 to 14 years (63%), males (74%), and brown (78.3%). The most prevalent clinical form was borderline (39%), followed by tuberculoid (28%). A reduction in reports was observed after 2020, possibly associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Approximately 70% of cases were cured. Conclusion: The data reveal the persistence of leprosy in children and adolescents, especially in vulnerable populations, reinforcing the need for intersectoral strategies for early diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and prevention. Qualified primary care, combined with health education and improved epidemiological surveillance, is essential for combating the disease and protecting children and adolescents.

2025-08-26T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2284Florence Nightingale’s environmental theory analyzed in adult intensive care units2025-06-26T01:13:27+02:00Isabel Ferreira Botelhoisabel-botelho@escs.edu.brBrisa de Oliveira Mourabrisa-moura@escs.edu.brMarcela Vilarim Munizvilarim.marcela@gmail.com
Abstract

The research was developed based on Florence Nightingale’s environmental theory, with the aim of studying the intensive care environment in the judgment of adults hospitalized in this treatment unit. In this context, communicating neonatal death is an ethical, relational, and humanized process that directly affects both parental grieving and healthcare professionals’ well-being. This study aimed to analyze, through an integrative review, the strategies used by healthcare professionals in delivering news of neonatal death, highlighting humanizing practices, recurrent weaknesses, and emotional impacts. The review was conducted in March 2025 in PubMed, LILACS, SciELO, BDENF, and CINAHL, using DeCS/MeSH descriptors, and included studies published between 2015 and 2025 in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. From 742 initially retrieved articles, six met the inclusion criteria, carried out in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and India. The analysis revealed three main axes: humanized strategies, such as acknowledging parenthood and offering farewell opportunities; structural and training barriers, including lack of formal preparation, inadequate settings, and absence of post-death support; and emotional impacts on professionals, who reported psychological suffering and overload, fitting the “second victim” perspective. Structured protocols like SPIKES proved relevant but are still incompletely applied. In conclusion, communicating neonatal death is a critical act of care, and its qualification requires investments in formal training, development of institutional protocols, and implementation of public policies that guarantee comprehensive and humanized support for both families and healthcare teams.
It advocates for a formative, continuous, and reflective approach to assessment that seeks to understand learning processes and respect students' unique characteristics. Assessment should be understood as a process that aims to support learning and inclusion, not as an end in itself. To achieve this, it is necessary to change the culture of assessment, which is often seen as a classificatory and punitive mechanism. Qualitative research was conducted to better understand how assessment is viewed and practiced by teachers. Based on authors such as Luckesi, Vasconcellos, and Perrenoud, it advocates for a formative approach to assessment that seeks to understand learning processes and support student development. The article highlights the importance of assessment practices that are more consistent with the formative approach, such as self-assessment, co-assessment, the use of portfolios, reflective journals, systematic observations, interdisciplinary projects, and constructive feedback. Objective: to conduct an integrative literature review in order to understand the factors associated with HIV treatment dropout. Methodology: A literature survey was conducted in October 2024, in renowned databases. The descriptors used were: ‘‘Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome” AND ‘’Patients who drop out of treatment” AND ‘’Patient acceptance of health care” AND ‘’Epidemiology’’ and, in English, ‘’Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome” AND ‘’Patients who drop out of treatment’’ AND ‘’Patient acceptance of health care’’ AND ‘’Epidemiology’’. Thus, 9 articles were selected, being included according to the eligibility criteria: articles in English and Portuguese, in the last five years, involving factors associated with HIV treatment abandonment. The exclusion criteria were: literature review articles or meta-analysis. Results: From the data analysis, it was possible to verify that most authors reported that there are several factors associated with ART treatment abandonment, involving sociodemographic characteristics such as being male, single, socioeconomic factors, low educational level and young age, but also events such as pregnancy, hospitalization, infection by an opportunistic disease and clinical progress can have an impact in treatment adherence. And not only that, but also side effects, clinical status, drug use, mental health problems, homelessness or unstable housing, stigmatization, among other factors. Conclusion: Failure to adhere to ART is a public health problem. It is essential to implement or improve public policies, improve communication, access and distribution of medicines, and carry out educational actions, such as lectures, to combat stigma. Additionally, behaviors characterized by repetitive and restricted patterns are observed, both in actions and in interests and in daily activities. The present study sought to evaluate the clinical aspects of this disorder in children, as well as its epidemiology in the global context. Methods: Narrative review of the literature in the Lilacs, PubMed, Virtual Health Library and Scielo databases, using the keywords Epidemiology, General Symptoms, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood with the Boolean operator and. Twenty-two full articles published from 2000 to November 2024 were included. Twenty-six articles that were not aligned with the proposed theme were excluded after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results and Discussion: Studies indicate that the broad spectrum of ASD allows variation in the presence and intensity of some symptoms; however, clinically it presents as a deficit in social interaction and communication, associated with restrictive and repetitive behavior patterns. Regarding the epidemiological aspect, a higher prevalence was observed in males, advanced parental age, perinatal and neonatal complications, in addition to prenatal exposures such as maternal infections, obesity, gestational diabetes, use of antidepressants from the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class, antibiotics, and exposure to toxins. Ethnic, socioeconomic, and regional factors remain controversial due to the lack of standardization of the analysis method. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research revealed an alarming mismatch: while 1,086 children with disabilities were available for adoption in Brazil in 2025, only 1,885 of the 33,662 registered prospective adoptive parents declared themselves willing to adopt them. In the specific context of Pernambuco, it was observed that the effective adoption rate of this group is significantly lower, evidencing a structural pattern of exclusion. The main factors identified were ableism, the idealization of the "perfect child," and the lack of adequate support. The study concluded that inclusive adoption requires coordinated public policies to support families, permanent awareness campaigns, and technical preparation for adoptive parents and legal teams. It was also found that legal provisions aimed at inclusion often operate symbolically, without effective practical application. The research contributes to the institutional debate on equity within the adoption system, offering data and reflections that can inform public policies that are more sensitive to diversity and more committed to ensuring the right to family life.
2025-07-02T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2079Use of geoprocessing in the generation of the soil map of the Camaratuba river watershed – Paraíba2025-05-11T01:47:37+02:00Charlys Seixas Maia Dornelascsmdornelas@hotmail.comGuttemberg da Silva Silvinoguttemberg.silvino@gmail.comMaria Cristina dos Santos Pereiramariacristtina@yahoo.com.br
consisting of natural catchment areas that channel rainwater runoff into a water body. Accurate soil characterization in these areas is essential for assessing agricultural potential and proposing sustainable land use strategies. Soil classification in Brazil was updated by Embrapa (2018), making it necessary to reclassify previously studied areas. This study aimed to reclassify the soils of the Camaratuba River watershed using the updated methodology of the Brazilian Soil Classification System (Embrapa, 2018), with the support of the open-source software QGIS version 3.26. Based on the adopted methodology, a new soil map of the watershed was generated, identifying four main soil classes: Plinthosols (Argiluvic), Quartzarenic Neosols, Thionic Gleysols, and Fluvic Neosols. Plinthosols (Argiluvic) were the most representative, occupying 61.17% of the watershed area, while Thionic Gleysols accounted for only 1.31%. The results reflect the region's geological and climatic conditions, characterized by deep, weathered soils, with limestone rocks in the western portion and sedimentary formations such as sandstones and siltstones (Francisco et al., 2023). The distribution of the drainage network and artesian wells showed a higher concentration of structures in the western sector of the watershed, which is also related to local geology. It was found that Plinthosols (Argiluvic) are predominant in the Camaratuba River watershed, followed by Quartzarenic Neosols. The use of QGIS software proved effective in generating maps and performing spatial analysis of soils, contributing to the area's environmental planning. This study aimed to gather and synthesize the available national literature on nursing care provided to ostomized patients. It is an integrative literature review conducted in the BVSalud database and the SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), using the following descriptors: “stoma,” “nursing care,” “role of the nursing professional,” “nurses,” “patients,” “inclusive education,” “teaching,” “ostomy care,” and “ostomy,” employing the Boolean operator AND. Empirical texts, literature reviews, monographs, theses, and dissertations published between January 2020 and March 2025, available in full, in Portuguese, and published in Brazil were included. Duplicated texts, commentaries, editorials, and articles not addressing the study objective were excluded. A total of 1,416 articles were found, of which 14 were included for qualitative analysis. The analyzed studies highlight the central role of nurses in promoting self-care, rehabilitation, and improving the quality of life of patients with ostomies. Although training initiatives and care protocols exist, weaknesses persist in academic preparation and the structure of the healthcare network. Recurring barriers include insufficient technical training, lack of resources, and limited emotional support. In this context, strategies such as advanced nursing practice, the use of educational technologies, and greater family involvement have shown promise in enhancing the quality of care and supporting patients’ social reintegration. The donation of human milk is vital for the nutrition of vulnerable newborns; however, losses resulting from nonconformities compromise its effectiveness. Issues such as dirtiness, acidity, and contamination negatively affect the quality of donated milk. Objective: To identify the causes of losses and nonconformities in human milk at Human Milk Collection Centers (PCLH). Method: This was an ecological study with a quantitative approach, based on the analysis of nonconformity report data from 2023 to 2024 at the Human Milk Collection Center of Lauro Wanderley University Hospital (CAAE 84805624.0.0000.5183). A structured instrument was used to record variables such as volume donated, dirtiness, acidity, contamination, viable and non-viable milk. Results: The sample included 911 donors, classified as exclusive or general. Exclusive donors provided milk for their own hospitalized newborns, while general donors donated to any newborn in need. The majority of donations (72.75%) came from general donors, totaling 554,798 liters, while exclusive donors contributed 207,811 liters (27.25%). Of the total volume of 762,609 liters, only 259,936 liters (34.09%) met quality standards, while 502,673 liters (65.91%) showed nonconformities—mainly due to dirtiness (55.38%) and acidity (10.53%). Conclusion: Human Milk Banks and Collection Centers play a crucial role in neonatal health by ensuring the supply of breast milk to at-risk infants. Its physicochemical properties, including mutarotation, are influenced by factors such as temperature, pH, and solvent type, making it a compound of significant interest across various applications. In industry, lactose plays a crucial role in both food and pharmacology. It is extensively utilized as a pharmaceutical excipient, particularly in tablets and inhalation powders, owing to its ability to enhance drug stability, solubility, and flow characteristics. The commercial production of lactose involves whey crystallization, yielding either α-lactose monohydrate or anhydrous β-lactose, each possessing distinct properties suitable for different contexts. Furthermore, the reactivity of lactose's hydroxyl groups facilitates the synthesis of derivatives with therapeutic and prebiotic applications, such as lactulose and β-galactooligosaccharides (GOS), which have demonstrated benefits for intestinal health. While the safety of lactose consumption is well-documented, lactose intolerance, stemming from lactase enzyme deficiency, remains a substantial concern for a segment of the population. The stability of lactose monohydrates is critical for ensuring the integrity of pharmaceutical products; however, its reducing potential may necessitate considering alternative excipients in specific formulations or in cases of galactosemia. The global pharmaceutical lactose market is currently experiencing significant expansion, propelled by the growth of the broader pharmaceutical industry and continuous technological advancements, thereby solidifying lactose's position as an indispensable excipient in innumerous applications.

2025-07-09T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2304Applications of 3d printing in industrial design: advances, materials, and sustainability2025-07-04T14:53:28+02:00Isaque Verissimoverissimo@verissimodesign.com
3D printing, or additive manufacturing, has established itself as a transformative technology in industrial design, offering new possibilities in prototyping, mass customization, and sustainable development. The analysis was structured around three thematic axes: the structural challenges of obstetric care in Brazil, the potential of advanced practice as a promoter of humanized care, and the political and institutional barriers to its implementation. It was shown that advanced practice represents a concrete alternative to reorganize the obstetric care model by expanding the role of nursing, favoring women's autonomy, and improving perinatal outcomes. However, its consolidation still faces regulatory obstacles, interprofessional disputes, and institutional weaknesses. Thus, the full adoption of advanced practice requires paradigmatic changes, investment in specialized training, and political recognition of the transformative role of obstetric nursing in strengthening the SUS.
2025-07-30T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2339The Use of geotechnologies in Biology Education: Challenges and Opportunities2025-07-30T21:18:32+02:00Luciana Vitor da Silva Souzaluvitor80@hotmail.comEdemir Barbosa dos Santosedemirbs@gmail.comLeoneide Magalhaes Santosleoneidemagalhaes@hotmail.comCristiana de Cerqueira Silva Santanacristiana_santana@hotmail.com
This article aimed to discuss the application of geotechnologies to Biology content, highlighting objectives, interactions with geotechnologies, the classroom approach and the tools and instruments to be adopted. Through a qualitative and exploratory approach, the research adopts the method of participant observation (Mónico et al., 2018) and incorporates an autoethnographic perspective (Balbina and Medeiros, 2021), as the authors are initiated practitioners who document ancestral knowledge from within. The theoretical framework draws on authors such as Juana Elbein dos Santos (2012), Pierre Verger (2023), Jacob Olupona (2011), Roger Bastide (1961), and Claude Lévi-Strauss (1976), highlighting the ritual, symbolic, and communal functions of food in traditional African religions. Key elements discussed include the role of the Ìyábase, sacred commensality, food taboos (Èèwọ̀), and the narratives in itan and odù Ifá that relate food to mythical stories and Òrìṣà preferences. The paper demonstrates how the preparation, consecration, and sharing of food reenact ancestral pacts within a cyclical understanding of time, reinforcing ties between individuals, the community, and deities. It concludes by framing food offerings as a form of radical hospitality that welcomes the sacred into everyday life and sustains ethical and spiritual equilibrium.
2025-08-08T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2361Role of the community health agent in monitoring individuals with arterial hypertension: a scoping review2025-08-11T14:09:32+02:00Jefferson Dantas da Costajeffersondantas3840@gmail.comJosé Edmilson Silva Gomesedmilsongomes03@gmail.comKairo Cardoso da Frotakairo.enfer@gmail.comMaria Samira Sousa Matossamirasousa2105@gmail.comAna Lívia Oliveira Sousaliviaoliveiran8@gmail.comKeila Maria de Azevedo Ponte Marqueskeilaponte@gmail.com
The Community Health Agent (CHA) performs an important role in the Family Health Strategy (FHS) and actively participates in health promotion and prevention of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), especially Systemic Arterial Hypertension (SAH). By combining Global Peace Index (GPI) scores for 2023 with GDP per capita figures from the World Bank for the same year, the study analyzes a stratified sample of thirty countries divided into three groups: the ten most peaceful, ten mid-ranked, and the ten least peaceful countries. Descriptive statistics, summary measures, and a scatter plot reveal a clear pattern indicating that higher levels of peacefulness are generally associated with higher national income. The Pearson correlation coefficient for the full sample is –0.7544, confirming a strong negative linear relationship between GPI scores and GDP per capita. Although outliers such as Portugal, Slovenia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States illustrate that peace and prosperity do not always align perfectly, the overall trend remains robust. These findings reinforce the theoretical claim that peaceful environments promote economic development by reducing the costs associated with conflict and insecurity, enhancing governance, and attracting investment. The paper also highlights that peace alone is not sufficient: factors such as governance quality, resource endowments, and technological capacity shape how peace translates into wealth. The results offer valuable insights for policymakers, suggesting that promoting peacefulness should be integral to development strategies aimed at sustainable growth. Future research could build on this evidence by employing panel data to track peace–prosperity dynamics over time and by incorporating broader development metrics beyond GDP per capita.
2025-08-14T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2377From symbol to everyday life: thinking about the human from an imago-poetic essay2025-08-19T15:52:48+02:00Hidelbrando Lino de Albuquerquehidelbrandolino@gmail.comDaniela Nery Bracchidaniela.bracchi@ufpe.brMário de Faria Carvalhomariofariacarvalho@gmail.com
The thematic focus of this imago-poetic essay emerges from images captured from everyday life and that give thought to epistemological issues between prison youth and human rights education (HRE) through an aesthetics of hope. This planning is crucial to guide the allocation of resources, ensuring that public policies are implemented effectively and within the established timeframes. This study investigates the role of the Executive Branch in the formulation and implementation of public security policies in Brazil, based on the principles of the Federal Constitution of 1988. The main objective of the research is to evaluate the allocation of resources to public security programs during the 2020-2023 Multiannual Plan cycle. The adopted methodological approach was qualitative and documentary in nature, focusing on analyzing federal budget execution for the mentioned programs. The research results indicate that, although 80% to 90% of the planned resources were effectively committed, there were significant limitations in the realization of the planned actions. Despite the financial allocation, a considerable portion of the analyzed programs was not fully implemented, highlighting the urgent need to improve public management and the efficient use of resources allocated to security. These limitations point to structural challenges in the administration of federal resources, which reflect in the incomplete execution of essential projects and actions for the improvement of public security in Brazil. Therefore, this study suggests the adoption of more effective control and monitoring mechanisms, as well as a more robust budget planning approach, to ensure that the goals of the PPA are fully and effectively achieved.
2025-08-19T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2384Between Equations and Phenomena: Paths for the Articulation between Physics and Mathematics in the Integrated Technical Courses of IFPA2025-08-20T17:31:58+02:00Rafael Pires Pinheirorafael.pinheiro@ifpa.edu.brDaniele Socorro Ribeiro da Silvadaniele.silva@ifpa.edu.br
This article investigates how the articulation between Physics and Mathematics curricular components can contribute to overcoming learning difficulties and fostering curricular integration in integrated technical high school courses at the Federal Institute of Pará – Conceição do Araguaia Campus. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Brazil ranks 8th among countries with the highest suicide rates. The objective of this study was to trace the overall temporal trend in suicide mortality and the epidemiological profile of these deaths in the population of the state of Pará from 2010 to 2020. This is a quantitative cross-sectional study, conducted with data provided by SINAN, based on the categories of intentional self-harm, death by year, sex, age, race/ethnicity, marital status, education, and place of occurrence. The analysis demonstrated a predominance of suicides occurring at home, among men aged 20 to 39, of mixed race, who had four to seven years of education, and were single. Suicide is a significant public health problem that affects people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds, at varying rates, and tends to increase year after year, as seen in the state of Pará. These findings highlight the severity of the problem and highlight the need for the development of comprehensive public policies coordinated across various sectors of society.
2025-08-22T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2392Experience of family caregivers of people with dementia from a phenomenological perspective: a systematic review2025-08-24T23:31:57+02:00Maria Nataniele Barros de Araújomnatanieleba@gmail.comMaria Gabrielly Moreira Lealgabyleal878@gmail.comAnne Caroline Gomes de Mouracarolinepsi01@gmail.com
This study aims to understand and analyze the current research landscape on the experience of family caregivers of people with dementia. The main objective was to identify contemporary trends in scientific studies from the last five years through a systematic literature review. Articles that adopted the phenomenological approach were considered, either as a research method or as a framework for data analysis. The search was conducted in six databases (CAPES, SciELO, PePSIC, PUBMED, APA PsycNET, and LILACS), resulting in 405 publications, of which 22 met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The studies had a broad geographic distribution, with a predominance of publications between 2023 and 2024, and the majority of caregivers were women over 50. The findings were organized into seven categories: (1) feelings and negative aspects of caregiving; (2) motivations and positive aspects of caregiving; (3) changes in family relationships and loss of identity; (4) multidimensional challenges to care provision; (5) coping strategies; (6) transition to institutions; and (7) intersections between prejudice and sociocultural contexts. We searched academic databases (Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Taylor & Francis) and regulatory/institutional repositories (ICAO, EASA, FAA, IATA) for publications from 2014 to August 2025. Eligible sources included international standards, manuals, and guidelines, as well as peer-reviewed empirical studies addressing disruptive passenger behavior, cabin-crew training, and interagency coordination. Findings show convergence around the ICAO Annex 6 operational framework and two key manuals—Doc 10002 (competency-based cabin-crew training) and Doc 10117 (legal aspects of unruly passengers)—reinforced by the 2014 Montreal Protocol. Operationally, EASA ORO.CC.140 and FAA AC 120-51E anchor CRM/TEM competencies. Across sources, responses are graduated and proportional, privileging prevention (pre-boarding messaging, responsible alcohol service, behavioral triage) and verbal de-escalation, with physical restraint as a last resort. AIRPOL/ACI-Europe guidelines structure aircraft-airport-police coordination after landing. Post-2020 evidence documents incident spikes linked to contextual factors and supports zero-tolerance policies combined with realistic training and data-driven governance within the Safety Management System (SMS). Persistent gaps include the lack of standardized taxonomies/metrics and limited controlled evaluations of specific de-escalation techniques. Insulin resistance is a common metabolic alteration in this syndrome, which consequently leads to hyperinsulinemia, an aggravating situation of other dysfunctions existing in PCOS, among them, hyperandrogenism, and can lead to infertility, since this excess is harmful to the ovaries. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the relationship between insulin resistance and the risk of infertility in women with PCOS. METHODOLOGY: The work is an integrative review of the literature with articles published between 2014 and 2023 in the SciELO, PUBMED and LILACS databases. The analysis and search for articles, carried out using the flowchart, aimed to answer the following guiding question: “What is the relationship between insulin resistance and the risk of infertility in PCOS?”. The data were organized into tables for later discussion of the selected articles. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: Through the analysis of the 15 articles included in the results, it was observed that 12 demonstrated the use of therapies that improve both insulin resistance and reproductive function parameters, and three reported a higher occurrence of reproductive alterations in PCOS combined with insulin resistance. CONCLUSION: Insulin resistance is related to the risk of infertility through the observation, in our findings, of the higher occurrence of sexual and oocyte hormonal alterations in women with PCOS associated with insulin resistance. Furthermore, within our results, this relationship is also corroborated by the existence of therapies that attenuate both reproductive dysfunction and insulin resistance in women with this syndrome. The main limitation of the work is related to the scarcity of studies, obscuring characteristics of this syndrome, and, from this perspective, there must be new research to elucidate knowledge gaps about this disease that affects the quality of life of many women.
2025-08-27T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2409The Duality of Global Airports: A Study on the Divergence Between Passenger Nodes and Cargo Hubs2025-08-28T19:11:19+02:00Leandro Jorge Yacoubianleandro.yacoubian@ues21.edu.arKevin MerdinianKevin-Merdinian@mi.21.edu.arMárcia de Negreiros Vianamarcia.viana@ifce.edu.brGrigor Sahak Ketenchianketencgs@lacitycollege.eduDaniel Santo Padilla Garcíadaniel.santo@ifce.edu.brGeorge Harrison Ferreira de Carvalhogeorge.harrison@fbr.edu.br
This study analyzes the divergence between the roles of global airports as passenger nodes and cargo hubs. Although airports are crucial components of global transportation networks, leadership in passenger connectivity does not guarantee dominance in cargo operations. The research employs a comparative framework integrating three key data sources: the 2024 Air Connectivity Index (ACI), 2024 Freight & Mail volumes from the Airports Council International (ACI), and the 2023 Logistics Performance Index (LPI) Infrastructure sub-index from the World Bank. A Spearman correlation is used to examine the association between connectivity and the quality of national logistics infrastructure across 20 European airports. The results reveal a notable specialization among airports. European airports such as Frankfurt (FRA) and Paris (CDG) present a balanced performance. The correlation analysis found no statistically significant association between the ACI Connectivity Index and the LPI ranking (ρ = -0.235, p = 0.318), suggesting that high-quality national logistics performance does not directly translate into greater air passenger connectivity. The study concludes that air cargo competitiveness is a multidimensional outcome, significantly influenced by institutional frameworks and specific policies beyond physical infrastructure. It is argued that airports must adopt integrated strategies that combine infrastructure, institutional efficiency, and targeted cargo policies rather than relying solely on connectivity as a measure of success.
2025-08-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2410Between isolation and care: effects of the pandemic on people with chronic noncommunicable diseases and on Primary Health Care2025-08-29T20:35:56+02:00Kerolayne Aguiar Couto Gomes da Silvaenfkerolayneaguiar@gmail.comKeila Cristina Pereira do Nascimento Oliveirakeila.oliveira@eenf.ufal.brGeovânio Cadete da Silvageovaniocadete.123@gmail.comBruna Kívia da Silva Cândidobrunakivia98@gmail.comRaema Neves Cotrim Carvalhoraema.cotrim@gmail.comLaís de Miranda Crispim Costalais.costa@eenf.ufal.br
Introduction: Chronic noncommunicable diseases are one of the main public health problems in Brazil and worldwide, due to their prevalence, impact on quality of life, and costs to the healthcare system, with particular emphasis on high blood pressure, obesity, and diabetes mellitus. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately worsened the health status of individuals with NCDs, and in the Northeast, these effects were even more intense, highlighting the need for continuous monitoring of those with these comorbidities through regular access to services, adherence to treatment, and promotion of self-care, in which Primary Health Care (PHC) plays a central role. Objective: To analyze the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health of the population with chronic noncommunicable diseases and on the organization of Primary Health Care services in a municipality in Northeastern Brazil. Methods: This is a qualitative, prospective study with a descriptive and exploratory approach. Data collection took place between August 2021 and March 2022 with 35 health professionals from seven Family Health Strategy units, with at least six months of experience in Primary Care. Results: Among the main health problems faced by this population, the following stand out: lack of knowledge about the disease itself, inadequate lifestyle and habits, sedentary lifestyle, increased mental illness, alcoholism, and Covid-19. Regarding the challenges of PHC, structural limitations and insufficient resources, weaknesses of the disease-centered biomedical model, and barriers to maintaining connections with the population were highlighted. Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic had significant effects on the health of the population with NCDs and on the organization of PHC in a northeastern municipality. The study observed worsening clinical conditions, impacts on mental health, and socioeconomic repercussions, in addition to unprecedented challenges faced by PHC. This highlights the importance of strengthening comprehensive care for NCDs, expanding health education strategies, and improving management and equity in access to services, providing support for more effectively addressing future health crises.
2025-08-29T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2411Swimming as an intervention to reduce low back pain in sedentary individuals: a systematic review2025-08-29T21:01:13+02:00Lorrane Vitória Araújo da Silvalorranevickyk@gmail.comJhonatan Gomes Gadelhajhonatan.gadelha@ufac.br
Low back pain (LBP) is a prevalent and disabling condition, with a higher risk of chronification in sedentary individuals. Swimming emerges as a promising intervention, leveraging the properties of the aquatic environment to promote muscle strengthening with low joint impact. This systematic review aimed to analyze the efficacy of swimming in reducing the intensity and frequency of low back pain in sedentary adults. The protocol followed PRISMA guidelines, with searches conducted in PubMed, Cochrane Library, SciELO, PEDro, LILACS, and Scopus databases, using the descriptors "Low Back Pain", "Swimming", "Aquatic Therapy", and "Sedentary Lifestyle" for clinical trials published between 2015 and 2024. Studies involving sedentary adults with chronic LBP undergoing structured swimming programs (≥8 sessions), compared to control groups or other interventions, were included. Methodological quality was assessed using the Cochrane RoB 2.0 tool. From the 10 studies included in the final synthesis, the results demonstrate that swimming promoted clinically significant reductions in pain intensity (assessed by the Visual Analogue Scale and Numeric Pain Rating Scale) and improved functionality (measured by the Oswestry Disability Index and Roland-Morris Questionnaire) when compared to inactive control groups. Additionally, improvements in secondary outcomes were observed, such as quality of life, body composition, trunk muscle strength, and gait parameters. In conclusion, swimming is an effective and safe intervention for reducing low back pain and improving functionality in sedentary individuals and can be recommended as a non-pharmacological strategy in the management of this condition.
2025-08-29T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2413The importance of psychotherapy for mothers of atypical children2025-08-29T21:22:56+02:00Joelly Rodrigues de Oliveirajoelly.ro@gmail.comMurylo Gabriel Ferreira Barretomurylopsi@gmail.comAdegilson Carvalho de Sousaadegilsoncarvalho16@gmail.comFrancelino Eleutério da Silva Júniorjuniorporto22@gmail.comAna Ruth de Sousa Santospsianaruth@gmail.comJamile Veras de Sousajamileveras.ps@gmail.comMaria Leynarah Sousa Pazpazleynarah4@gmail.comRoberto Dias Rodriguesroberto321.dr@gmail.comMaycon Campos de Almeidamayconcampospsi@gmail.com
This article highlights the importance of psychotherapy for mothers of children with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a reality defined as "atypical motherhood". The impact on general trade encompass trade balance but has also financial and monetary issues. The currency has three function: medium of exchange, unit of account, and stock of value. In other word it is a product and a service itself and in the actual global trade there are distortions on trade flows (are not homogeneous) and on currency values (dollar dominance). Thus the change in the actual system impacts on many variables of the trade and PIBs, is not only a matter of products and services exchanges or tariffs but a complex mix of all of them. The result of the discussion shows how strategies are related to all other partners strategies in the international trade. That way it is impossible to negotiate only limited politics and tariffs agreements or bilateral negotiations, but, to bypass conflicts, a new form of international trade and international agencies are needed. In this context, dental insurance plans have emerged as a central strategy for expanding access and ensuring sector sustainability, responding to the demand for preventive and rehabilitative care as well as to the high costs of dental treatments. This narrative critical review aimed to map international trends in dental insurance plans, with emphasis on regulatory strategies and market expansion mechanisms. Searches were conducted in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and BVS/LILACS, in addition to technical documents from international organizations and regulatory agencies. The results indicate that the global market shows strong growth, with estimates ranging from USD 255 to 410 billion by 2030, alongside the consolidation of hybrid financing models and the incorporation of technological innovations such as teledentistry and artificial intelligence. Significant regulatory heterogeneity was identified: while countries such as Japan and France integrate dental care into universal health coverage, Brazil, the United States, and much of Latin America remain largely dependent on the expansion of private plans. This literature review aimed to critically analyze the influence of persuasive communication on the success of B2B sales, integrating theoretical foundations and empirical evidence published between 2010 and 2025 in databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Emerald Insight, SpringerLink, and SciELO. A total of 32 studies were selected and analyzed using the SALSA framework (Search, AppraisaL, Synthesis and Analysis). The findings indicate that classical persuasion models, such as the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM), the Heuristic-Systematic Model (HSM), and the Persuasion Knowledge Model (PKM), provide valuable insights into how messages are processed in B2B contexts. Moreover, the use of adaptive influence tactics, combined with adaptive selling and sales communication competence, proved crucial for value co-creation and trust building in commercial relationships. The literature also emphasizes that interorganizational communication quality is essential for satisfaction, partnership continuity, and strategic customer loyalty. On the other hand, gaps were identified, such as the lack of longitudinal studies, the need to consider cultural differences, and the ethical implications of persuasion strategies in sales. It is concluded that persuasive communication, when applied ethically and strategically, represents not only an immediate competitive advantage but also a driver of sustainability in B2B relationships, while opening avenues for future research on the impact of digitalization on persuasive processes.
2025-09-03T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2429Multichannel prospecting in b2b sales: a critical review of strategies and impacts on qualified lead generation2025-09-04T20:59:04+02:00Sergio Renato Solari Monzonemail@gmail.com
This article presents a critical literature review on multichannel prospecting in B2B sales, focusing on strategies and their impacts on generating qualified leads. In this context, nursing plays a fundamental role in the coordination, organization, and implementation of health actions. Objective: to analyze the contributions of nursing to health promotion in primary care, considering the territory, the work process, and the bond with the community. Methods: This is a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory study with 35 professionals from seven Family Health Strategy Units in Delmiro Gouveia, Alagoas. Data were collected through discussion groups guided by Situational Strategic Planning (SSP). Results: Three categories emerged: (1) territory, living conditions, and adherence to self-care; (2) team work process; (3) reception, bonding, and reorganization of care during the pandemic. Social determinants and staff overload negatively impact care, while welcoming and humanization strengthen adherence and obligations with the community. Conclusion: The findings indicate the need for intersectional strategies, health education, and professional development to strengthen PHC, promote humanized care, and reduce inequalities.
2025-09-06T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2442The contract as a tool for social justice: perspectives for legal and economic inclusion2025-09-09T15:29:20+02:00José Carlos de Souza Nascimentojcarllos2001@yahoo.frMarcílio Miranda de Souzamiranda.souza@uol.com.brDaniel Barile da Silveiradanielbarile@unimar.br
This article analyzes contracts from a social justice perspective, focusing on their potential as instruments of legal and economic inclusion. Based on liberal principles such as free will, formal equality, and binding force, contracts have historically contributed to perpetuating inequalities, especially in situations of significant social asymmetries. Therefore, it is necessary to reinterpret them in light of the constitutional principles of human dignity, solidarity, and social function. Thus, the scope of this work is to demonstrate how contracts, beyond an agreement between parties, can be tools for social transformation, capable of promoting access to rights and the redistribution of opportunities. The methodological approach was qualitative, using the deductive method, based on a bibliographic review of classical and contemporary doctrines, highlighting the contributions of Roppo (1977) and Timm (2012). Thus, it is concluded that contracts, when conceived from a constitutional and functional perspective, can break with the exclusionary logic of the market and act as a vector for citizenship and equity.
2025-09-09T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2443Association of the use of mesotherapy in physiotherapeutic rehabilitation: a systematic review2025-09-09T15:51:20+02:00Ana Clara Marques Portoclara.ana210800@gmail.comAna Júlia Pereira Britojuliaana557@gmail.comGiovanna Lumi Kurodagiovanna.kuroda@gmail.comPedro Henrique Dantas Cardosopedro.cardoso@sulamericafaculdade.edu.br
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of mesotherapy combined with physiotherapeutic rehabilitation in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Through a systematic literature review, 20 articles published between 2015 and 2025 were analyzed, selected based on specific criteria and indexed in major scientific bases. The results showed that mesotherapy, when integrated with physiotherapy resources such as kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy, and manual therapy, promotes pain relief, improves functionality and quality of life, and has a low incidence of adverse effects. Additionally, a reduction in the use of systemic medications was observed, making it an effective and safe alternative in clinical practice. It is concluded that the association between mesotherapy and physiotherapy enhances rehabilitation outcomes, although further studies are needed to standardize application protocols.
2025-09-09T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2444Perception and prevalence of electronic cigarette use by students at the State University of Tocantins2025-09-10T23:04:15+02:00Nicolly Silva Duarte de Oliveiranicollysilva@unitins.brKleverson Wessel de Oliveirakleverson.wo@unitins.brGeovana Medeiros Chaves de Sousageovanamedeiros@unitins.brDaíse Moreira dos Reisdaisemoreira@unitins.br
Introduction: Smoking is a global epidemic and causes millions of preventable deaths. Although campaigns have reduced the consumption of traditional cigarettes, the use of electronic cigarettes (ECs) is growing among young people, especially college students, attracted by their modern appearance and varied flavors. This study investigates the use and perception of ECs among students at Unitins – Augustinópolis Campus. Methodology: This is an exploratory, quantitative and qualitative study, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, administered via an online questionnaire to students in Accounting, Law, Nursing and Medicine. The estimated sample size was 100 participants. The analysis used Excel. Results: 81 students participated. Most were female, young, medical students, unemployed, and with a family income above three minimum wages. Approximately 26% reported EC use, mainly at parties. Use was associated with social influence, alcohol, and a sense of relaxation. Most recognize the health risks but consider ECs more socially acceptable than traditional cigarettes. Final Considerations: EC use among university students represents an emerging risk. Research has shown that men are more likely to use EC, and that this use is strongly linked to alcohol consumption and partying. Even with access to information, many underestimate the potential harms. Stronger educational and regulatory measures are needed to curb this growth.
2025-09-10T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2445Proposal for multidisciplinary group intervention for caregivers of patients in Palliative Care2025-09-11T21:06:28+02:00Virgínia Maria Ferreira Beltrãobeltraovirginia@gmail.comAnne Karolynne Rodrigues Garrosanniekaka2@gmail.comMariana Dias Maranhão Aguiarmarianadiasaguiarpsi@gmail.comStella Andrade Araujo Costaandrade.stella@yahoo.comFlavia Nunes Fonsecaflavia.nunesf@gmail.com
Advances in healthcare technology have increased the life expectancy of the Brazilian population. In this context, caregivers, both formal and informal, become increasingly necessary and present. Caregivers play an extremely important role in the well-being of patients with serious illnesses, and their absence directly hinders treatment. However, despite the importance of caregivers' presence, the literature indicates that there is no systematized care for this group. Therefore, we propose a qualitative, exploratory study based on a focus group. This study aims to identify the main needs of caregivers of patients receiving oncology and geriatric palliative care and develop a proposal for a multidisciplinary group intervention aimed at caregivers of patients admitted to a specialized hospital.
2025-09-11T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2446Challenges of inclusive geometry teaching for the visually impaired2025-09-12T15:40:15+02:00Charles Pereira de Abreucharlesdiabreu@hotmail.comCaio Siqueira Rodriguessiqueiracaio98@gmail.com
This paper aims to analyze the tools and teaching resources presented by the selected articles in order to assess the effectiveness in helping the interpretation of geometric shapes in basic education from a systematic literature review, built through the Google Scholar database and SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) with search in themes such as geometry, inclusion, visual impairment and manipulatives in publications that composed the theoretical framework as the basis of the research and selected publications for the analysis performed in the discussion of results, between the years 2012 and 2021. It was a consensus among the selected articles that the use of manipulatives for the visually impaired has the ability to promote significant educational advancement, provided they are well implemented. As a result, the policy of adequate conflict treatment was created, materialized in the CEJUSCs, institutions that, through conciliation, seek to offer a faster and more peaceful solution for citizens. These centers have the capacity to reduce the volume of cases and transform the culture of litigation. In view of this, the State has encouraged the creation and strengthening of these bodies as a means of ensuring more effective access to justice. In this sense, the main objective of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the CEJUSC of Palmas, from the perspective of its quantitative and qualitative results, in light of Resolution No. 125/2010 of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) and the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC) of 2015. To this end, it was necessary to conceptualize the crisis in the Judiciary, present the conciliation policy as a response and investigate the contribution of the Center through productivity data, also identifying the challenges that limit its full potential. In addition, the method used was deductive, with bibliographic and documentary research and quantitative analysis of primary data. Therefore, it is concluded that, despite the persistence of a culture of litigation, the CEJUSC of Palmas proves to be an effective instrument, with success rates that reached 20.11% in 2023 and 25.01% in 2024, but its systemic effectiveness is still limited by operational challenges and dependence on periodic events.
2025-09-12T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2450Sustainable Use of Amazonian Biodiversity and Solidarity Economy: The Waorani Cosmetic Enterprise in Daipare as a Model of Local Bioeconomy2025-09-14T17:14:47+02:00Carlos Manuel Zambrano Lojacm.zambranol@uea.edu.ecJannys Lizeth Rivera Barretojl.riverab@uea.edu.ecStephanie Nichole Lara Jaramillosn.laraj@uea.edu.ecUshco Guachun Génesis Angélicaga.ushcog@uea.edu.ec
2025-09-14T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2451Merleau-ponty and the phenomenological foundations of inclusive education2025-09-15T15:38:18+02:00Maurício Bueno da Rosamauriciobueno7@hotmail.com
This essay explores the relevance of Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology for inclusive education. Rather than focusing on diagnoses, the phenomenological perspective emphasizes the primacy of perception, the body itself as "being-in-the-world," and intersubjectivity. This allows us to rethink inclusion as a recognition of diversity and unique ways of inhabiting the world. The critique of empiricism and intellectualism emphasizes that the individual is not a passive recipient or a detached consciousness, but a complete being who actively interacts with the environment. Inclusive education, inspired by this philosophy, must value the lived experience of each student, adapting the curriculum and pedagogical practices to welcome and celebrate differences, fostering an environment where diversity is a collective benefit.
2025-09-15T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.revistajrg.com/index.php/jrg/article/view/2307Review: the moral question in the anthropology in antology2025-07-07T15:39:53+02:00Rogério Duarte Fernandes dos Passosrdfdospassos@gmail.com
This review aims to provide notes that, in general terms, address the work “The Moral Question: a critical anthology”, organized by French researchers Didier Fassin and Samuel Lézé, which, in locating and compiling texts by different authors and at different times, illustrate not only the development of anthropology as a field of knowledge, but also its evolution as scientific knowledge that reveals the values of morality as a guiding axis for individuals and social practices.
2025-07-07T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025
