Drug interactions in pediatric hospital care: an integrative review

The study aimed to analyze potentially dangerous drug interactions (PDDIs) in hospitalized pediatric patients. This was an integrative literature review, including articles published in English in the PubMed® database between 2020 and 2025. Six articles were included, which reported some potential interactions and adverse effects on the central nervous system (CNS), cardiovascular system, respiratory system, among others. Further studies are needed to assess the clinical significance of drug interactions in the pediatric population.
