The physical environmental impacts and environmental management in the construction of barra beach, in the municipality of Guaraí – TO

Abstract

This study sought to gather information on the management of physical environmental impacts caused by the construction of Praia da Barra in Guaraí, Tocantins. It highlights flaws in the project's execution and demobilization, as evidenced by infraction reports issued by environmental agencies. Currently, the growing socio-environmental awareness of the population pressures public authorities to fulfill their roles as mediators, making it essential to reconcile leisure and local development with environmental preservation. The Praia da Barra project aimed to provide the local population and visitors with a recreational space during the river's low season and school holidays. However, like any enterprise, its implementation leads to environmental degradation, requiring studies and management of potential physical impacts, as well as rigorous planning, monitoring, and mitigation measures to minimize environmental liabilities. The main objective of this study is to analyze the Praia da Barra construction project regarding the environmental management of physical impacts in order to minimize potential environmental problems. To achieve this, the methodology adopted was bibliographic research with a literature review and documentary research based on the analysis of official documents related to the construction Project.
